Finland travelogue, photographs and puzzles

Finland used to be a mystery country for us, far away in the north and near Russia. We visited it as part of a journey through the Scandinavian countries and regret (afterwards) that we stayed in the western parts of the country. Finland is the country of (tens of) thousands of lakes, but it was hard to get to the lakes, the woods were always obscuring them. Helsinki is a nice town but the barren nature in the north really impressed us. Later we heard that the east of Finland is much more interesting than the west coast.
