Portugal is not very large compared to it's neighbour Spain, but it has played a mayor role in history with it's seafaring explorers. For us Portugal is the place where we learned to relax on the beach for the first time during a holiday. Not surprising when it is often too hot to do something else! But there is also enough to see and do.
