We visited Finland during our Scandinavia trip in 2002. A special country with a lot of forests and tundras in the north. And of course the many thousands of lakes that you rarely see through the dense forests. There seem to be almost 200,000 lakes! We traveled along the west side to the north and therefore missed the east while we heard later that it would be much nicer there. To the north of the Arctic Circle lies the calmer and vast Lapland and where we passed by the house of Santa Claus before we entered Norway in the far north. We would like to see the country in the winter someday, when it is covered with snow.
Here are our travelogue(s), photographs, online jigsaw puzzles of travel pictures and information about Finland.
