Gambia: travelogues(s), jigsaw puzzles, photographs and information

We went to Gambia in 2005 because we were looking for some warm weather in a country we had not been before. It was warm, but otherwise we had bad luck, we have not seen the sun ... The country is not that big and we also made a trip to Senegal. And we had nice contacts with the locals that we still occasionally mail with. Gambia (officially The Gambia) is a narrow country along the Gambia river surrounded by Senegal. Many Africans were transported from the Gambia to America as slaves when it was a colony. In 1965 the country became independent and is now officially a democracy. The then president (Yammeh), however, had come to power through a coup d'etat and did not take human rights very seriously.
Here are our travelogue(s), photographs, online jigsaw puzzles of travel pictures and information about Gambia.
