Greece: travelogue summer 2018

This year we also drive to Greece with our own car, which we enjoyed doing last year. It is a journey of 2.5 days but we love driving long distances through the changing landscapes. A visit to Skopje, the capital of Northern Macedonia literally is not possible because of heavy rainfall. We have to deal with bad weather even more, but in general we have nice and warm weather. We start in Chalkidiki and drive through Athens to the Peloponnese and visit the Ionian island of Kefalonia, north of Zakynthos. Then we go via Ioannina and make a second visit to the monasteries of the Meteora, then back to Chalkidiki and going home from there. In the end we drive more than 10,000 kilometers but we have also been away for more than 7 weeks, probably our longest holiday ever.
