Casa Mila or La Pedrera, Barcelona
Casa Mila has an undulating facade which was unusual in Barcelona (or anywhere else) in the beginning of the 19th century, when it was designed and build by the famous architect Antoni Gaudi. Soon the building got the nickname La Pedrera, the stone quarry, since people found it looked like that.
