The Sphinx of Naxos in the Delphi Museum is over 2 meters tall and is formed by the head of a woman, the breast and wings of a bird of prey and the abdomen of a lion. It originally stood on a column 10 meters above the Apollo temple near the place where Apollo would have defeated the Python dragon.
