The Rio-Antirrio Bridge is the longest cable-stayed cable bridge with multiple spans in the world at 2,880 meters and lies over the Gulf of Corinth near the Greek city of Patras. The bridge is seen as a technical masterpiece because it is built on very difficult terrain with deep water, high risk of earthquakes, tsunamis and the widening of the Gulf due to plate tectonics.
