Scotland: travelogue autumn 2006

This time we are going to Scotland again with our own car because we have more than 3 weeks. This year we spend a lot of time in Argyll on the west coast of Scotland, just north of Glasgow. But we must also regularly visit a garage for car problems. And Elisabeth visits the hospital a few times with an acute bladder infection, caused by the cold in our tent near Dunoon. The weather is not as good as we had in recent years and then, just when we go back, it gets tropical hot, really holiday weather.
Via Duinkerken to England
Via Dumfries to Ayr, Scotland
We change our plans and go to Argyll
Driving through history around Kilmartin and Loch Awe
The coast of Argyll, Crinan canal
The west coast of Argyll, our car breaks down
Via Oban and Loch Ness to Beauly
To Findhorn and visiting a garage
Via Inverness to Forres
A tour throught the Black Isle
A short drive to Drumnadrochit
Visiting Inverness and driving around Loch Ness
To Sutherland, the north of the Highlands
Back to Argyll, Dunoon
To the island Bute, but we end up in a hospital
Driving through Cowal and starting our return trip
A tropical journey home
