Scotland: travelogue September 2019
This year we are going to Scotland for 2 weeks, first a week to friends in the Highlands where we take it easy. After that we have another week in The Scottish Borders in the southeast of Scotland, an area that tourists often skip while it has beautiful towns and villages with nice historic buildings but also amazing nature and many historic places. Unfortunately Elisabeth sprains her ankle and she can barely walk for the last 5 days, so we are forced to take it easy.
We have nice weather: the first week cold but mostly dry, on our day of travel to the Borders a few hours of rain and then another week of dry and warmer weather. And even though we take it easy, we see beautiful things again.
