Drummond castle was build in the 15th century by the clan Drummond of Stobhall. The castle is especially famous for its big and beautiful gardens. The castle is also used in the movie Rob Roy, legends of the mist.
The motto of the clan is 'Gang warily', or go with care. This was probably more an advice to the outside world as how to behave towards the Drummonds than for the members of the clan itself..
