Ruthven Barracks

Now there are only ruins left of the buildings that were put here in 1719 to accommodate soldiers in the Jacobite wars. Before that there was a castle at this place from the 14th century where Alexander, the wolf of Badenach, lived. He terrorised the neighbourhood but legend says that the castle was in ruins after he had lost a game of cards from the devil and himself being dead. Obviously is is still haunting the place!
