Near Kenmore we happened to pass this castle in the distance. It is a Victorian castle and was build near the remains of the Balloch Castle (from the 16th century). The estate is now a big golf course and we were told that golf originated here, at least in this area. Golf is still an important sport in Scotland.More on the history of this castle on this website.
