United Kingdom: travelogue summer 2005

We have traversed England before, on our way to Scotland, but this time we want to explore the whole of Great Britain. We start our journey all the way in the north, in Scotland and then we travel zigzagging down to the south, through the Lake District, Wales and England. It will be a wonderful trip through a beautiful country and of course we will not skip a highlight like Stonehenge.
Via IJmuiden-Newcastle to Beauly in Scotland
Trip around the Cromarty Firth, Fearn peninsula
The area between Nairn and Carrbridge, Strath Spey
Visiting Caerlaverock Castle, then to the Lake District
Travelling through the Lake District
To the east, Yorkshire and through the North York Moors
To York and the east coast
Via Haworth to Chester and Wales
Northern Wales, Portmeirion
The Anglesey peninsula, Wales
Beddgelert, mines and to Conwy
Llandudno, Snowdonia, Lake Vyrnwy
King Arthur, Celtica and to Aberystwyth, Wales
To Haye-on-Wye, South Wales
Via Bath deeper into England
To Oxford and prehistoric sites
