Vatican City: travelogues(s), jigsaw puzzles, photographs and information

The state of Vatican City is located entirely within Rome and is the smallest independent state in the world at 0.44 square kilometers. In the past the state was much larger, but in the 19th century the country was abolished by France. In 1929, Mussolini was one of the people who ensured that the current territory was again recognized as an independent state. The pope is officially the head of state.
The most important buildings within the Vatican City are on the UNESCO World Heritage List and for tourists it is a large museum with the Sistine Chapel as the highlight.
Here are our travelogue(s), photographs, online jigsaw puzzles of travel pictures and information about Vatican City.
We don't have a seperate informationpage for this country yet. We hope to have it ready in a few months.
